RICHARD SMITH 965/965i/COMPUKNIT V/VCX PROGRAMING

In depth study of the Brother KH965/965i, KnitKing Compuknit V/VCX.  Find out how easy it is to program the built-in patterns on this machine.  Also, you will learn how to program your own patterns very simply.  Master the many variation buttons to change the patterns that are in the machine, or modify your own patterns.

Skill Level:  Beginner.  You must be able to cast on and off the machine.

Materials:     

• 965/965i machine, carriage, cord, and accessories

• Knitting manual and StitchWorld I & II

• Two cones, light-medium color, compatible yarns (i.e.  Newlon 2/12)

• Note taking materials.

RICHARD SMITH'S CALCUKNIT CLASS

The Calcuknit is a digital knitting calculator that allows you to chart garments, converts your measurements to actual stitches and rows. Richard will teach you exactly how to use your knitting calculator. You will gain the understanding by his thorough explanation of the key pad and what all the keys are for, and explanation of the different modes.   After mastering the key pad, Richard will walk you through the charting of several basic garments.

INSTRUCTOR BIO

RICHARD SMITH is a former knitting machine dealer from Sacramento, CA.  Richard has been teaching and writing patterns long before most of the demonstrators at our seminars were knitting.  Richard taught machine knitting adult education classes in Sacramento and has traveled through the country demonstrating at major seminars.  Richard is very patient and takes the time to explain in detail how the knitting machine works.  His knowledge is invaluable.
