NEWTON’S CLOSING WHOLESALE DIVISION
After long consideration, we have decided to close our wholesale yarn division. For over twenty years, we have been serving more than 600 yarn dealers and small manufacturers with high quality dyed yarn. As a result of our current economy, government intrusion, and new global economics, several of our small manufacturers are out of business and many of our yarn dealers have closed. Effective immediately, we will be reducing our wholesale inventory and begin concentrating on high quality yarn for the retail trade.
Our retail business is still the backbone of Newton’s Yarn Country. By closing our wholesale division, we will have more time and energy to develop additional retail products. During this transition, you may notice some glitches, but the final results will benefit everyone in the knitting community.
Starting Monday, January 26, 2009, there will be yarns listed on our website, www.newtons.com, selling at manufacturer’s cost. For this sale you may order either FIVE (5) pound or TEN (10) pound boxes of assorted yarns. All prices listed include shipping within the continental United States (excluding Alaska, and Hawaii). Each week, we will be adding and deleting yarns until we have reached the proper inventory level for our retail business. Sale boxes listed on the website WILL NOT be available in our retail store.
Orders will ONLY be accepted through the internet. Place your order through our email address: newtonknits@aol.com. Be sure to include your name, complete shipping address, credit card info, and daytime telephone number with area code. We will call to confirm your order and obtain your credit card information.
